OUR FOUNDER
SHMUEL FARHI
Shmuel Farhi was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1961.
After spending his early years on a kibbutz, he attended a prestigious boarding school where he became one of the top chess players in the country.
After mandatory military service with the IDF, Farhi completed his business degree at the Technion Institute and joined his father’s insurance company before seeking opportunities of his own in America. A chance meeting with a Canadian realtor on a flight to San Francisco brought him to London, Ontario in 1986. Having completed several successful real estate deals and finding he enjoyed the industry, he founded Farhi Holdings Corporation in 1988 and became a Canadian citizen in 1990.
FHC now owns and manages more than 4 million sq.ft. of properties across Ontario, with much of his key personnel remaining with the company since the very beginning. Farhi is known as a consummate dealmaker and a man of his word. He is a passionate supporter of downtown revitalization and heritage preservation. When not looking for the next business opportunity, he enjoys spending time at the cottage with his family and cheering on the London Knights hockey team.

We take pride in our commitment to heritage preservation, as we reinvigorate these architectural gems – transforming them into first-class modern facilities.
“In the end, our city will be defined not only by what we create, but what we refuse to destroy.”
